Leonard Waun was my great, great, great grandfather. The information I have is as follows: Leonard Waun (1800 - 1879) and his wife Elizabeth Webb (1800 - 1871), left Ipswich, Suffolk County, England, in 1831. They settled in Ontario, Canada near Belmont in Westminster Township. The eldest three of their ten children were born in England. Four of the sons married Hoover sisters born in Dunnville, Ontario, daughters of David Hoover and Betsy Yeager. Robert (1824-1896) married Elizabeth Hoover (1837-1905). James (1826-1905) married Mary Hoover (1831-1905). Joseph E. (1836-1920), my great great grandfather, married Anna Hoover (1843-1880). George (1839-1918) married Carolyn Hoover (1847-1921), and they moved to Michigan, U.S.A. I have this traced down to myself if you desire more information. Martha married James H. Vasser. The other lady is Sarah Rider who married Robert Taylor who served in the CW. Don't have any info on Sarah, except that their daughter was born in Botetourt County. View Cemetery with his wife Lucy Clay Fitts.I don't know of any relatives beyond my ggrandfather. My mother did know he played in a old time Mtn. string band .

It's about 30 miles from Va. There are a number of graves you have mentioned there. You can find a complete listing of the cemetery in Person County Genealogy on line. It is listed under cemeteries.
