Many Boyds to Christian Co., KY before Trigg Co. formed. Abner Boyd m 29 Jan 1795 Polley [Mary} Palmer, dau. of Edward Palmer. Edward Palmer & sons-in-law, Peter Torian & Charles McCarty (all of Halifax Co.) migrated to Christian Co. about 1809. Also in party was Charles' brother, John McCarty, who had married 22 Feb 1798, Sally Torian, first cousin to Peter Torian. John McCarty died in Tenn. enroute to KY. In 1811 Abner Boyd with bro-in-law, George Torian, went to Christian Co. You said you had a document of Patty's that listed her father's name? What kind of document do you have? This is what I know. John Tandy was born abt. 1760 in Dinwiddie Co. VA. He had 5 brothers and sisters Henry, Oliver, Sanford, Robert Walker, and Patty. I have no proof of who Tandy's father is, but some say it was a Robert and some say it was a Henry. This is what I know on Patty b. abt 1760? married John Smallman, March 28th 1791 in Dinwiddie Co. VA Is this your Patty?
