I found an archived file on rootsweb that Curt Beatty submitted in 1997. It is an index of the 1850 Grayson Co. census. According to the information provided, there are Dotsons living in dwellings #834 and #1022. However, on Jeff Weaver's New River web pages for Grayson Co., the 1850 census has been transcribed. In dwelling #834 there is a MOYER family, not a DOTSON family, and there is no dwelling #1022. It only goes up to dwelling #1001. Does anyone have access to the actual 1850 census for Carroll Co. who could check and see if this information may have been for that county instead? I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.
