An obituary appeared in today's Galax Gazette for James Robert Edwards. It is pasted below. James Robert was the s/o Theo Edwards. Does anyone know the parents of this Theo? I have a Theodore Edwards in my files, b. abt. 1903 NC, s/o J.S. and Olivia J. Edwards. This Theodore's siblings were Lue B. b. February 25, 1897, Tracy b. Abt. 1902, Edison b. Abt. 1908, and Lue b. Abt. 1913. Does anyone know if this Theodore and the above Theo are the same person? Sue Dotson [email protected] James Robert Edwards, 74 James Robert Edwards, 74, of Galax, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at Alleghany Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Grayson County to Theo and Lissie Anders Edwards. Survivors include his wife, Jean Edwards of Galax; his mother, Lissie Edwards of Galax; a sister and brother-in-law, Belle and Leo Caudell of Galax; one niece; and one nephew. A graveside service was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Crab Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Ring officiated. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
