RECTOR and their descendants in the book "Swindall-Austin Families of Virginia and North Carolina, 1622-1995" published in 1995 by Hetty Swindall Sutherland. (Contact William H. Sutherland, PO Box 547, St. Paul, VA 24283, 540-762-0542 if you're interested in obtaining a copy.) This book quotes information from two other publications: "The Rector Family" by Clifford B. Rector which is no longer available for purchase, but may be viewed at the Germanna Community College Library, Germanna, VA and at the Allegheny Co. Library, Sparta, NC and "Rector Records" by Larry King which is available from his granddaughter, Patty Lee Scott, 126 Upper Station Camp, Gallatin, TN 37066, 615-452-9580.
