:The Virginian-Pilot; :Feb 7, 2007; :Hampton Roads; :20 Joseph R. Bias CHESAPEAKE - Joseph Randolph Bias, 75, of the 2200 block of Chesapeake Ave., went to be with the Lord Feb. 6, 2007. A native of Logan, W.Va., he was the son of the late Shirl R. and Ruth Jordan Bias. He was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Bias was also retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patsy H. Bias; a son, Randy Bias and his wife Melody; two sisters, Madeline Howard and her husband Henry and Phyllis Royster and her husband Jim; one brother, Roger Bias and his wife Rita; and three grandchildren, Justin, Melina and Jason. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Bias. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, with the Rev. D.B. Martin officiating with burial to follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to South Norfolk Baptist Church, 1101 Chesapeake Ave., Chesapeake, VA 23324.
