:The Virginian-Pilot; :Feb 5, 2007; :Hampton Roads; :23 Arnold J. Kelley SUFFOLK - Arnold J. Kelley, 74, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Feb. 3, 2007. He was a graduate of Floyd County (Virginia) High School. He was an Army veteran serving as a medic in the Korean war. He retired from Pet Dairy as production manager with 40 years of service. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Stella Kelley; a brother, John Kelley; and one sister, Hilda Kelley. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marie and his three daughters, Lois Martin and her husband Don, Doris Durick and her husband Joe and Sandy Byrum and her husband Lee; a sister, Vera Mae Burnette; a sister-in-law, Elva Kelley; eight grandchildren and spouses, Nicole and Josh Cox, Melanie and Jessie Hinton, Chris and Jenn Harrison, Jessica and Alejandro Gonzalez, Greg and Sarah Durick, Herb and Shayni Johnson, Jeremy Byrum and Casey Byrum; 10 great-grandchildren, J.C., Brodie, Emily, Rachel, great-granddaughter-to-be (Olivia), Collin, Alyssa, Cody, Nicolas, Reese and Sage. Arnold was a devoted husband, father, grand and great-grandfather to his family. He was an avid NASCAR and Bill Elliott fan. Besides work, his other hobbies were his grand and great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, Tuesday at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
