I have posted below a biography of her family from pages 786-787 of "The Coe Families of Maryland and Virginia" (Columbus, OH: 2002). A farmer, he lived for a while in Washington County, VA, but before 1900 returned to Smyth County, where he lived in the St. Clair District. In 1902 he moved to the State of Washington. On February 19, 1914, he entered homestead certificate number 07848 on 160 acres of land in Benewah County, ID. Located ten miles south of Plummer, ID, near Tekoa, WA, he died there in 1916. Burial was at Goldenrod Cemetery, Tekoa. He married November 3, 1871, in Smyth County, VA, Rachel Blevins, born May 3, 1858, in Grayson County, VA, died of cancer March 3, 1917, at De Smet, ID, daughter of Andrew and Charlotte Blevins. Burial was at Goldenrod Cemetery. Children: 1. Mary Caldona ``Callie,'' b. Oct. 7, 1872, in Smyth Co., VA; d. May 14, 1948, in Tacoma, WA; m. May 24, 1891, in Ashe Co., NC, Andrew Jackson Henderson, b. 1870, son of William and Elizabeth Henderson. She lived for a while at Waitsburg, WA, and in 1935 was living at Orting, WA. Children: W.B., b. 1892; Henry Wilce, b. Jan. 4, 1894; Conrad; Sampson; Lennie L., b. April 4, 1897; John Boyd, b. 1903; Luther, b. 1907; John W., b. Aug. 11, 1910. 2. Lucinda, b. March 23, 1874; d. Sept. 7, 1879. 3. Nancy Jane ``Virginia,'' b. Oct. 7, 1876; d. Dec. 13, 1935, at Waitsburg, WA; m. Jan. 30, 1890, in Smyth Co., VA, Thomas Wilson ``Chipmunk'' Jones, b. Dec. 16, 1866, at Jefferson, NC, d. April 18, 1943, at Walla Walla, WA, son of Ambrose Jones. Mr. Jones moved to Walla Walla Co., WA, in 1898 and after 1900 his wife joined him there. Farmers and members of the Christian Church at Waitsburg, they lived at Gross Point, a small settlement fourteen miles southeast of Waitsburg, where a group of former Virginians and North Carolinians settled around the turn of the century. Both were buried at Waitsburg City Cemetery. Children: William Jarvis, b. July 11, 1892; Ambrose Lee, b. March 5, 1894; John, b. Dec. 1896; Walter Maxwell, b. May 23, 1898; Ethel Viola, b. June 8, 1915; Curtis Everett, b. March 9, 1917; Alice Faye, b. Oct. 22, 1922. 4. John Henry Emanuel, b. July 4, 1877; m. Aug. 19, 1901, in Smyth Co., VA, M. J. Vanhoy. He went with his family to Idaho where he worked as a farm hand for William Brown in Bonner County. He reportedly later lived with his brother William at Plummer, ID. Never known for his honestly, he reportedly stole his brother's horse and was eventually found dead in San Francisco, CA. 5. WILLIAM ALEXANDER, b. March 23, 1879. 6. SHERMAN VICTOR, b. June 10, 1880, in Washington Co., VA.
