Hi Folks, I'm wondering if anyone has been able to figure out who the parents were of Stephen Hale who married Matilda Dixon of Alleghany Co., NC. His marriage record says he was s/o W. & M. Hale of Grayson. They married 19 Jan 1886 in Grayson. She was d/o Zachariah & Ruth Ann Phipps Dickson of Alleghany. I found a Martha Hale (no spouse) in 1880 w/son Stephen of about the correct age. But I can't find her w/a spouse in 1870 in Grayson. As always, any help is greatly appreciated! Bette
