At the courthouse in Grayson I found a marriage record on one of my husband's Dotsons in 1917, William Wesley Dotson. His wife was Minnie Beamer, b. 1899. It said her parents were E. F. Beamer and wife. I had already found Minnie, widowed, in the 1920 census living with her mother who was listed as Martha J. Dean, head of household. I suspect "Dean" was her surname from a second marriage after her first husband had died. Does anyone know the full name of E. F. Beamer, and/or the name of Martha's possible second husband? Second part to this question: I found a marriage record for W. W. & Minnie's son, Lawrence. It gives the parents of Lawrence as "WW & Minnie L. Pennington Dotson." I find this extremely odd when the marriage record for W. W. & Minnie listed Minnie as Minnie Beamer, single, with her parents as E. F. Beamer and wife. Can anyone help solve this puzzle?
