Last winter Family History Magazine reviewed a book: WILLIAM LAWSON, A SCOTTISH REBEL, AND OTHER PIONEER FAMILIES OF SOUTHERN APPALACHIA, by Bill Porter. In the review, it mentions sketches of numerous pioneer families, including Doughtery and Greear. Violet Fulton, the widow of David Fulton, married Scarlet Doughtery in Wythe County, Virginia, May 29, 1839. I know they are on the 1850 census in Ashe County, NC. Has anyone access to the above book, and is so, I would like to know if there is any information about either Scarlet or Violet. Thank you for your help. Marty Fulton
