    3. Don, Stephanie has been brought to my attention that apparently the index in my copy of the book does not list every name mentioned in the book. She said someone told her that her Herringtons were on p. 133 & 138 even though they were not listed in the index. I checked; this was an article on Hale (Hale is in the index but Harrington is not.) However, on those pages it only mentions Herrington as men that the Hale daughters married. There is no other information on the name. I suspect that if a name is not in the Index, the information, if there is any at all, is not the main substance of the article. As I told Stephanie, I just check the index. I don't have time to read the entire book for every surname posted to the list. I suppose that it's possible that a later edition than mine might have a more complete index? That would be a good question for the list.
