In reading Sue's response re: Burris-Boone I noted an Oma K. Callahan. I am searching for the parents of Edward C. (Ned) Callahan who was born in 1837, Surry County, N. C., and married 7/01/1856 to Sarah Mary Wright of Grayson. Aside from the fact that Edward's father was named Mark and his mother was Jesten unknown, I have no other ancestors leading up to these people. Edward married in Grayson county and remained there. He fought with the Confederates and was at Manassas with Capt. Peyton Hale. I have the names of all of Edward and Sarah Mary's children and would be happy to share.
