The book "Pioneer Settlers of Grayson Co., VA by Benj. Nuckolls says Emmett died of appendicitis in 1911 in a Roanoke Hosp. Mary was d/o Hiram Williams and Jane Brown. Children: Annie, Bettie, Callie, & Hattie and 2 sons: Ellis and Dean Floyd. Hope this helps. Bette buzzybee wrote: >Can anyone help me fill in the parent's names in the family below? The only possibility I may have come up with is that I have found a Mary Byars who was 8 in the 1880 census (d/o James & Sarah Byars), so that COULD be what the "B" is for in "Mary B.". But that is just a wild guess. I'm still at a total loss on the father, who had left Mary as a widow in the 1920 census. > >Sue Dotson >[email protected] > > > 1 Unknown Osborne d: Bef. 1920 > +Mary B.
