I pulled up an 1870 census image today and on the same page I saw a listing for a family with the HOH as Rufus H. Pool and wife Jane E. I wondered who in the heck it was.....checked my annotated copy and there were no annotations.....and then looking at the children it hit me. This is the family of Bluford Harrie Pool and wife Eliza Jane! No wonder I've never found his family in 1870 -- I never dreamed I needed to look for him under the name of Rufus!!! So I thought I would post this in case anyone else looking for Bluford in 1870 needed to find him too. They are family 181 in the 1870 census, Elk Creek District. Sue Dotson [email protected]
