Sue Dotson [email protected] Stella Mae Campbell Jones, 94 Stella Mae Campbell Jones, 94, of Galax, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Francis Jackson Campbell. She was born Nov. 3, 1908, in Carroll County to Robert Lee and Florence Dowling Bourne. Survivors include seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Inez and Hallie Williams, Maggie and Gary McKenzie, Helen and Donald Higgins, all of Galax, Gay and Jim Reeder of Ohio, Nora Wright of Germanton, N.C., Mable and Garnett Stuart of Fries and Elizabeth Shumate of Max Meadows; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eulice and Wilma Campbell of Max Meadows and Dallas and Clara Campbell of Grahams Forge; 29 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral was held Thursday at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with burial in the Mount Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Jennings officiated.
