:The Virginian-Pilot; :Jan 7, 2007; :Hampton Roads; :23 Maxine B. Smith PORTSMOUTH - Maxine Beatrice Smith of the 200 block of Deal Drive died Jan. 6, 2007, in her home. She was born in Dante, Va., May 10, 1915. Survivors include her husband, Charles C. Smith; one daughter, Doris Loretta Wolfe and husband Ernest of Chesapeake; two sons, Kenneth R. Howington and wife Glenda of Dexter, Ky., and Roger L. Howington and wife Emily of Camden, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Mr. Keith Lewis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service Tuesday.
