According to the Ashe Co. Marriages, Peter Black married Emeline Brooks in 1903. And Milly Ayres, in 1897. The Ashe Co. Cem’s says that Peter Black married Evelyn Blevins – and there was not a listing for her in the book, though there is a listing for Peter. Then Alonzo Black says he was s/o Peter & Evelyn Blevins. In the 1900 Ashe Census, Peter is with his parents (John & Rachel Bare Black) , says he is married 2 yrs, but no Milly is there with him – a granddaughter of John & Rachel Bare Black is with them, Martha Black. The census records of 1910 & 1920 show Peter with a wife, Marticia E. – so my question is, is Marticia E. the Marticia E. Blevins, d/o Harrison & Rebecca? And was Marticia E. first married to Ezecal M. Brooks first? Sorry, I didn’t mean to go on so long. ;-) Bette
