I just typed up this obit and decided someone else might like to have it. Enjoy. Bette Obituary from Primitive Baptist Church Assoc. Minutes 1855-1995: J. M. Davis was born December 25, 1852 and departed this live Nov. 30, 1933 making his stay on earth 80 years, and 11 months. He was married to Mary Price over 60 years ago. Unto this union were born eleven children, nine of who are living and two are deceased. He joined the Pimitive Baptist Church at Maple Springs over 50 years ago but later moved his membership to Big Helton where he served forty years as Spokesman of the Church and remained a faithful member until death. He was a great defender of the doctorine and practices of the Primitive Baptists. He fought a good fight and kept the faith and finished his course with joy. Our beloved uncle has left the wery battlefield. His spirit has gone to the blessed heavenly home. His body is resting in the family cemetery by the side of his loving companion and is awaiting the Resurrection Morning when with shouts of triumph their bodies will rise and fly to meet Jesus in the skies.
