Hi folks For those that might be interested, the following items are new/updated on New River Notes tonight. http://www.ls.net/~newriver/nrv.htm (click on the appropriate county to get there) Alleghany County, NC: The Old Sturgill Cemetery courtesy of Larry Hash of Winston Salem For Carroll County, VA An Update of the Popes Knob Cemetery from Buford Wilson with a really interesting photo. For Grayson County, VA Updates to the Greer-Stamper Cemetery at White Top Silas Ward Cemetery, Saddle Creek Photos added to both courtesy of Larry Hash. Larry also identified the location of the unmarked grave of William Horton Hash, buried in the Silas Ward Cem. W. H. Hash died ca. 1820, making this one of the oldest known cems. in Grayson County. The cem. photos show it to be in currently a sad state of repair. New items Rutherford Cemetery 1 on Couch's Knob courtesy of Minnie Hall (1 grave stone) Hines Branch Methodist Church Cemetery by yours truly (about 200 graves) Rock Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by yours truly. (275 graves) This brings the Grayson County grave total to 19300+ Also added a link to a web site that has a listing ot the Atkins Methodist church Cemetery. Ginger is working on her version of that and that should be up very soon, as well as the Lebanon Methodist Church on the road to Fries.
