Hello All, Whenever I see person's in the military there is a "CSA" after their name or rank, What does this mean??? Thanks for all your help, Stephanie Harrington
Stephanie, that denotes Confederate service during the Civil War. My great-great-grandfather William H. Mink (and all his brothers but one) fought for the 50th Virginia Infantry, CSA. Some states, Tennessee being one, sent regiments to both the Union and Confederacy.
