Frank was born in Allegheny County, North Carolina and then he and his parents moved to Grayson County,Virginia. In 1914 he married Bertha Burris. Frank's father was Jesse Osborne and his mother was Sara Norris. Jesse was born in Jan. 10,1868 in North Carolina and died on March 19, 1947.I am not sure of the real date of birth Sara Norris. She said she didn't know.My grandfather Frank was born May 14,1893 and died November 13,1929. He was married to Bertha Burris. Bertha's father was Emory Burris and her mother was Sara Poole. Emory was born in 1868 anddied in 1960. Sara was born in 1872and died in 1950. Emory's father was Samuel Burris. Emory and Sara Burris had 15 children. Jesse and Sara Osborne had 9 children. She died in 1923 and Jesse remarried I think Nancie Walker. I am researching the sister of Mazie Phipps, Carrie Maude Phipps, for a friend. I know that Carrie was living with Ben Halsey and Mazie in the 1910 Grayson County, VA, census, and that some of her (Carrie Maude) children later lived with the Halseys. In fact I have been told that Ben and Mazie adopted Mettie B. Phipps, Carrie Maude's daughter, although I have not found proof of that. I believe that Mettie was living with Hattie and Howard Smith in 1920, listed as sister-in-law, even though I know that she was not an actual sister to Hattie. Thanks again.
