Does anyone know who the Sarah/Sally is who married James Robertson COX and became the mother of Margy COX 1813-1904(md. Elijah COLLINS). She cannot be Sally FIELDER, as is often reported. Sally FIELDER married James COX, the father of James R. COX. The Revoultionary pension application indicates that she was born in 1760, thus married at age 55, and so cannot be either the mother or the wife of James R. COX. She isn't the daughter of Dennis FIELDER either, since she was born when he was four years old. Sally WHO?? is my 3rd g-grandmother, and I'd certainly be grateful for any help anyone could give. Hi folks I am trying an experiment and need some help. I have a new CGI script on the New River Page, which is supposed to compile a search engine, which may ultimately be better than the free find thing, and it isn't limited to the sites I maintain. So, the help and experiment is for you all to go to the New River Notes page (go to the very bottom) and add your pages to the search engine if you have pages, or add your favorite bookmarks. I think without your help I might give up, it seems labor intensive for one person to do. Any way, go by, take a look, see what you think. I have added a very few pages of my own, but nothing extensive, so if you enter a search, you won't get much back yet. The URL is http://www.ls.net/~newriver/nrv.htm Warm regards and many thanks Jeff Weaver Arlington, VA http://www.ls.net/~newriver/nrv.htm http://members.aol.com/jweaver300/grayson/vacwhp.htm

Tell me about this book. I am trying to find some ancestors that were Indian and lived in Marion, VA. Also some that lived in Grayson/Carroll, not sure if they were Cherokee or not. I am very interested in the possibility that some of them may have been Tutelo/Suponi. Especially since alot of my family lives in Fries. Hi A few months ago, I posted looking for this book written by Charles Thomas. I was unable to locate a copy then. To my surprise, a copy arrived at my mothers house the other day. Im not sure if the author revised it, or was getting more printed, or what, but anyone interested in obtaining this book should try writing to Charles Thomas. The address that I wrote to was found online-- Charles Thomas PO Box 363 Cana, VA 24317 The cost was $7.00. It is a small book, but very informative and interesting. It discusses the presence of the Ani-Stohini/Unami Indians in SW VA. Tracy
Could someone who has access to the 1800 census, look up Jacob Cup, Cupp, Copp? Your help is greatly appreciated. Patricia

Hi Sue, I was the fortunate one who had asked if anyone had their copy for sale & a dear lady said we could buy hers! Actually it was for my mom who is from Grayson County VA. Hello Carol Andrews if you are still on this list! Pam, I hope you have just as much good fortune as I did! Happy hunting, Darcy 0:) in Maryland < I do know someone who posted a query that they wanted to buy a used one, and someone answered and sold them their copy. But I don't know that there are a lot of people out there willing to sell them. Wish I had better news for you! Sue Dotson [email protected]>
