Bette, I have this John Delp family. I just got a new laptop and I am transferring everything over. Give me a couple of days, and I will send the info to you. Be safe, Susan
Hi, folks. I'm a new subscriber to this list. On the various censuses from 1880 to 1930 Wilson Creek are, there are William K. Parks, wife Catherine and mil Sallie Hawthorn. It appears that Sallie Hawthorne died between 1920 and 1930. Is there any one who could do a cemetery or death record lookup for her? I need to narrow it down so I can send for a death certificate. I'm trying to locate her parents. Merry Anne
Hi Beth, I'm not very far back into my FROST line yet. I do have some information though. What was his name? I can look and see if he is in the info that I have already. This is the exact reason I am searching out my true blood line. I want to know for myself and for my kids who I am and where I come from. My mother gets very upset because she says my father adopted me and that should be enough. Well, it's never been enough for me. A little piece of paper cannot change your blood. Thanks for responding. Cheryl in KY [email protected] wrote: > Harvey T. I'm curious if anyone else has this Delp family: John M., Jr. married Mary "Polly" Cornett children: Eli, Sarah, Frances, James Floyd and Creed. Another researcher had the name of Jared for Creed and I wonder if anyone else does? If so, where did you find it? Sue, I have been reading the emails on the Jones' family. Hve you seen the book, "Chatham, The Life of a House" byRalph Happel? It is the story of Betty Churchill Jones ands thier life at the mansion. There are pictures of Churchill Jones and Betty? I got it at the Betty Washington home library when we visited VA? Lots of good info in it. Glad you are still helping others. I do too, mostly in NM and TX. Happy Holidays! Janelle
I'll try the cemetery listings that just came out. For the children I have names and birthdates; death date only for Stephen Leftridge Wright and approximate birth dates for Isom (April 15, 1812) and marriage (abt 1832) to wife Susannah Comer (born abt. 1815.)
Hi Sue, Thanks for posting the info. I was glad to see that you had Alfred traced back to Francis, and Elizabeth traced back to Thomas Seller. There seems to be a lot of disagreement on these two lines and I agree with you. I don't think either one can be proven 100% but in my opinion it leans toward Francis Haile and Thomas Seller Jones. I will be emailing you privately about the documents. Thank you. Wow Sue...you've sure done your homework! In my first post, I mentioned that I was adopted. When I decided to do this, I wanted to do it right. I am very picky, so I like to verify everything. I know you can't always have "proof" documents, and I know you are bound to make mistakes every now and then, but I will try my best to get things accurate. You have been the first person to ever send me information that has references, sources, etc... I really can't thank you enough. I know these people I am researching are long gone, but just finding them is making me feel like I really came from somewhere, like I have a history myself. I am so addicted to this :) Thank you again, Cheryl Sue Dotson wrote: > Generation No. 4
