In fact, Hayes ran a sawmill on the site. What is not so clear is where Woodville sat. One theory is that Woodville ran from Hayes' Store in the direction of Timberneck Creek. The other is that it stretched from Hayes' Store in the other direction towards Glass, Bray's Point and the Severn River. Which, if either, is correct? Where did the homeplace sit ?
