I have run across a marriage for a John Dunn(or Dun)in Gloucester Co.Va , between 20 dOct 1777 & 20 Oct 1778 to a woman named Mary Forrest. My question is: Does this John Dunn belong to anybody out there?If I can't prove he's ours,at least I can scratch him off my list of possibles. I believe that my John's father was also named John. and since the first son was rarely named after the father,i figure my John was down the line in children. It's been said that "John Dunn came over from Ireland,after his brother died." and since that can't be my John,it must be his father,as our John was b.in Va. Can anyone claim this John Dunn & Mary Forrest or tell me anything about them?? thanks.
