My relatives are from around Southern Kentucky, North Central Tennessee, however I found them in Texas and even Hawaii. Oddly I traced my grandfather (Otis Hobdy, SR.) back as part of work that had already been done on a family tree of a lady by the name of "Cotton or Cotten". There were Hobdys -at least in that "strain"- all the way back to the 1600's -I believe- when they suddenly "disappeared". Haven't done any work on it since. Hope this helps.
