I am searching for any Gloucester Co. families that have ties to a BROOKS family in the late 1600s or early 1700s. I am looking for the parents of an ancestor, WILLIAM BROOKS, who probably was born ca. 1720-30. He shows up in Lunenburg Co. right after its establishment in 1746. I have been told that there was a William Brooks family in Gloucester Co. who had business or land dealings with a LEWIS family about 1700. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. Joan Logan Brooks
