I attempted to confirm some of your information and found the normal conflicts. Alexander Green was very prominant in the records. In the death records, he had a son, Alexander W. Green, Jr. to die at age four in 1881. The 1880 census indicated he had a son William about that age. This suggest the name was Alexander William Green, but he is named Alexander H. Green in other places. Also, the marriage record gives his wife as Emily Kemp, and in the 1870 cenus she is listed as Emily Kemp living with mother Minny Kemp. You have probably all ready considered these differences, but just in case you missed them, I hope this may help you to know the truth.
