Not whom you are looking at but that doesn't mean there is not a connection, just that I haven't made a connection. My ggrandmother was Mariah Thornton born 1850 and married John Henry Carter in Middlesex Co. Per the Middlesex marriage records her parents were Rivan and Rosa Thornton and she was of Gloucester. I do have a portrait of her and who we believe to be her father as an older cousin said that it was not her husband in the portrait.
