    3. I am descended from the MOORE family in Gloucester but it is a brick wall for me. I have listed what sparse information on my MOORE that I have. I have numerous generations of her descendents however. I am interested in learning about my MOORE lineage. I think my Susanna may be a sister of Thaddeus. I have a Susanna MOORE who is my Great Great Great Grandmother. She was born c. 1813 in Gloucester (probably). She married James BROWNE approx. 1834 in Gloucester (probably). I have been able to deduce her dying between 1880-1900. I went through the census over several decades and I show that she could have been the offspring of (1) Unknown MOORE and Judith , (2) Dunford MOORE and Unknown, or (3) Unknown MOORE and Tammy her brother may have been Thaddeus. I calculated in 1830 she would have been abt 17. If they listed her at the correct age that would have placed her in the home of Unknown Moore and Tammy. If she was only 15 at the time she would have been listed in the household of Dunford Moore. I have seen one record that listed her as Susanna Moore-Thompson or Susanna Thompson-More. James and Susanna had the following children: Elizabeth BROWN(E) (My line) b. 1837 Lewis T BROWN(E) b. 1838 John A BROWN(E) b. 1840 William H BROWN(E) b. 1842 James BROWN(E) b. 1844 ? I am a beginner...thanks This is strange. My My great great Grandfather was Lewis Latane Smith m to Mary Moore Anderson. (would love info on Moores!)They owned a place called Hillfork in Matthews Co Va. Can anybody tell me anything about the two of them? I know Mary Moore Anderson Smith was the daughter of Robert Penn Anderson, but I am really interested in Lewis Latane Smith as I have a French Hugenot chair made by His great great--- (c.1660-something) in the den. I believe his mother was a Latane and I do also have a Susan Ransome in the 1600's to early 1700's in that line. She was French hugenot. These lines were all over Essex Co, Matthews, Glouchester and Mobjack Bay They eventually married into the Davises of that area right before the civil war. I have John Brooke Davis comission as an officer of the Confederacy framed and in my den. It is signed by the Gov. of va I am also looking for the owner of my old family seat, Brooke Bank as I have so much furniture from there I would like to show th! em. One ancestor was a William Keeble Davis if this helps at all. His parents were Daniel Davis and Anne Brooke Ransome. Also have an Armistead ancestor. I am new to this so I know I am all over the place But..Thanks for any help and God keep, Emily Brooke Kelly Kelly House Hopewell Va email emily@appomattoxyoga.com
