William was a millright in Monroe Co. when he married Sarah Broyles on Jan 1, 1854. Later in life, he became a self-taught doctor and was known as 'Dr. Billy' often making his medicines from herbs. He and Sarah were the parents of 4 sons; Henry B., Alfred Berman, George W., & Allen Green Coburn. George W & Whelhelmina Priddy Coburn were parents of William, Georgia, Lonice B., H.
