Hi Kay, the historical society is basically open on Wed. from noon to five, but Rebecca, the worker there, is usually there on Thursday and Friday as well. The sign by the drive way is kind of misleading as it shows Sat and Sun. hours but that is for the museum. When go in give Rebecca my regards. We are planning to head back down that way in late August. We are selling the house to my mom, buying an RV and leaving for the winter months, or may be longer don't know yet. The historical society has a lot of info and people there are very helpful. Note of interest someone stole their book of the 1860 census by Charlie Davis. They were going to get permission to either copy the one at the Pearisburg Library or obtain another copy. The Library had two copies but someone stole one of theirs. Now you have to ask at the front desk to look through the book. Have a great trip.
