For Adam, Giles Deed Bk 1, pg 97. John Shepherd to Tarleton Bell--78a., part of 150 a. granted Adam Taylor, on south side Sinking Creek, 1808." pg 332. "Adam Taylor to Robert Hunter--161 a. on Sinking Creek, adjacent to William Pines and David Tawney. Wit: Tarlton Bell, William Webb, Joseph Taylor, 1814." >From "A Brief of Wills and Marriages in Montgomery and Fincastle Counties. Virginia, 1733-1831" there are several Taylors. One in particular sounds like it might be yours. The abstract says: "Taylor, George. Will probated Mar., 1801. Names--wife, Mary; and children, James, Joseph, Adam, Jacob, George, Urlie, John, Elizabeth, Mary, Susannah, and Anna. Also his wife's brother, John Charlton. Says his present wife the mother of four of his children." Other Taylor will include Charles, another George, three Isaacs, two Johns, Lewis, and William. Hope this is helpful.
