Vanessa: I"m glad you wrote. I didn't know if Cumbee and Cumby were related in any way. I've tried to do some research on the Cumbee Line I am from. It always seem to come to a deadend. Then I thought that maybe it was spelt different but I hadn't had a lot of time to look into it. My Great Grandfather was James Luther Cumbee Born @ 1890. He married Mary Ellen Lang. (who was called Ellie). James died in 1948 and was Buried in Lucas Memorial Cemetery in the Newport section of Giles. I don't know his parents or any of his brothers and sisters names. If you have any information that would pertain to him, please let me know.
