    3. It is possible that Jessee Kelly had a brother James. A couple of us think that Jessee was the son of Malachi Kelly. The following is research by Gary Kelley: **************************************************************************** ***************************** "Malachi Kelly had 8 children and his wife was already dead when he died in 1783. At least 3 of the children were very young (Jessee was only about 3 when Malachi died), and all 8 were not yet of age. Therefore, he probably wasn't much older than 50, and may have been as young as 35. Possibly, he was born sometime between 1728 to 1748. New Jersey Wills, Vol 35, page 138 - 1783 Feb 1. Kelly, Malachi of Manington, Salem Co. Will of.. Daughters, Ann Kelly, Catherine Kelly, and Sarah Kelly, all of my wife's apparel. Youngest children, Mary, Jesse, Rebeckah Kelly to be educated. Wittness: Mark Miller, Joseph Sloan Proved May 1783. July 1783 Admin': Joseph Sloan. Fellowsbondsmen: Hill Smith and John Westar; Inventory Ls 519.3.11. Volume 37, 1791-1795. 1794 Mar 18.
