In the 1820 census for giles co. on the same sheet is a James Kelly along with Jessee Kelly (who married Lucinda Tillet in 1812). Trying to find information about James Kelley (Not Jesse's son James) He is also listed as buying property in an estate in Nov. 1820. At Jessee's Kelley's death the admin. was a Samuel Kelly. Does anyone know anything about him? don't believe he was a son, but relationship ? Jumping the gun, I think James kelley was Jessee's brother from NJ, and that Samuel Kelley was James son. That's my theory, now trying to prove it. Thanks Gary Kelley

Zacheriah Perdue was born about 1763. He married Mary Connelly(Conley) on June 5, 1792, Montgomery Co. They settled on the south side of Wolf Creek, later relocating to Five Mile Fork of East River. Zacheriah died in 1853. This was submitted to the Giles County, Virginia History-Families Vol. 2 by Charles Perdue There is quite a bit more about the Perdue family in this article. Including information on Meshack Perdue. If you are interested in the rest of the information let me know. Phyllis

This site is NOT the site sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I mentioned earlier, the site will be up later. The address below has some interesting links but does not have the FamilySearch database which is what will be put online first. Oops! Sorry for the last message I sent. I hit reply and thought it would go directly to the person who asked the question and not to the Giles list. I've since read that the site I mentioned is not the "new" site we've all been looking for. Sorry again. Lora

On another list I subscribe to, we were informed that the LDS may have taken it down to work on. Cara
Try this one: http://lds-online.com/family.htm I get to it fine but in the little time I've looked at it and comparing it to the little I've used the computers at the lds library, I haven't run across anything similar. Maybe they don't have everything on it yet or probably I just have played around with the online site enough. Anyway, hope this works for you. Lora
