David is right. Rootsweb will not delete a mail list. Rootsweb will, however, create a list with almost the same exact interests, creating duplications and confusion. My ALMOBILE list merged with ALMOBILE-BAY to avoid duplication, and I sent several requests to Tim at Rootsweb to discontinue ALMOBILE (with blessings from my state coordinator) and never received the first acknowledgement. Nada. Zip. So I closed the list to new subscribers and now when someone tries to sub, I send a message telling them the list is closed and to sub to the other. Carol Middleton
