Now that I'm living in VA again (which feels real good, btw), I'll organize a get-together for the VAGenWeb volunteers. It would be nice to have a quarterly dinner. We could start in Richmond, and hold them throughout the state other times. Maybe... we can persuade Carmen, Freddie, Jim, and some of you other out-of-staters to plan to join us. ;) Linda

Forwarded from: tstowell@chattanooga.net "Tim Stowell" Sam Sneed & family for the Lineage Project at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~lineage/ is requesting: "I really need you all to find some willing soul to take this monstrous task of approximately 100 submissions per day, and put it back in operation. Ms Megan created a really fine research tool here, and myself and my 14 year old carried the load for another year or two, but we really don't have the time now. A small percentage of dead email addresses on it notify us of their new addresses, for change. The rest simply stay as listed with no one to contact. The surname and date is still of some value to the researchers. The colors on the pages need changed, and our photo and links need removed, and the autobot needs enabled. You really need to help find someone who is willing to spend a minimum of 1 to 2 hours daily, and someone who will carry the project for a year or more." Hi All, Several weeks ago I posted a note that a cousin of mine was looking for a researcher to do some VA lookups on wills, etc. for her. My cousin's name is Shirley Wagstaff. She emailed me today that the person who she found to do the work notified her that she had finished doing the lookups, but as of today, Shirley hasn't received the research. She has lost the researcher's email address and can only remember the person's last name was Morrison. So, if you are out there, or if any of you know this person, please get in touch. Shirley really needs the research and I know that the person who did the research would like to get paid. Thanks, Pam
