VA. near the Norfolk & Western railroad. Page county was formed in 1831 from Rockingham & Shenandoah counties, VA. Since the surname Holmes is a rather common one, I do not know if that surname found in my books dealing with Frederick, Sheandoah & Page counties, VA are your family or not.
