This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/gAC.2ACE/2723.1 Message Board Post: Listed in Hopewell Friends page 282 List the marriage of Thomas Wilson (son of Samuel & Catherine in East Nottingham, Chester, PA) & Jane Rees (daughter of David & Martha Rees of Berkley, VA) 4th day of 9th month, 1783 at Hopewell. The other Wilson who signed in the right column: John Wilson & Deborah Wilson. I believe this group of Wilson tied to the Job/Jobe family of above location in PA. Thomas Job signed in the groom & bride column. He was born in Nottingham Co. PA and died 13 Aug 1805 Berkeley Co. VA/WV. He married Charity Rees and was the son of Archibald & Margaret (Rees) Jobe. His Jobe "we" have back to the emigrate. I am rather sure you will find the emigrate father of Thomas Wilson among the Quakers of PA/MD. Would be Benj. Wilson born Jun 1727 Armley, Yorkshire, England, died Jan 1798 East Nottingham, Cecil Co. MD. He was the son of Thomas & Margaret Wilson. He was married to Lydia Jobe and they had 13 children. You should be able to purchase Hopewell Friends, the books by Hinshaw and other compiled books dealing with the Quakers of MD & PA. Also the originial Quaker records can be rented on film through L.D.S. library. Good luck with your research.
