VA and other eastern counties of VA. Listed in my Northampton Co. VA Marriage Book 1853-1880 "Dix, Thomas A., 23 years of age, single, born & living in Northampton Co. VA, Seaman, parents Isaac & Ann Dix married on 20 Feb 1855 to Martha Sarah Nottingham, 22 years of age, single, born & living in Northampton Co. VA, parents Joseph D. & Mary Nottingham, married by Rev. Luther Nottingham." I do not have marriage bonds for Accomack Co. VA. I have 1850 & 1860 census, Dix listed. Two books on Land Causes 1728-1825, Dix listed and Cemetery Book, Dix listed. I can not say I have seen records of families moving from that area of VA into Frederick Co. VA. I do know of families moving from Charles Co .MD into Frederick Co. VA. In any case, try to find a death record for your Benj. Dix. Good luck.
