In 1815, there were two landowners by the name FARMER in Frederick County, Virginia: John FARMER on Isaacs Creek, as well as, an William FARMER on Isaacs Creek located 11 miles north west of the county courthouse at Winchester. There was a John FARMER listed with a company of 51 men under Captain Wm. MORRIS in 1812 out of Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia. "Frederick County, Virginia Wills & Administrations 1795-1816" by Kangas & Payne Page 92 "Will Book No. 9, 1810-1816" FARMER/BOWER, John "John FARMER alias John BOWER, late of Lancaster Co., PA" Children: Daniel BOWER alias FARMER, Mary GRICE. "To my son, Daniel BOWER otherwis Daniel FARMER, land in Powell's Valley, PA. (formerly in Lancaster Co.,)-------------------------------------------17 Aug 1780------- Page 74 "Will Book No. 8, 1804-1810" FARMER, William Will dated: 22 Feb 1801 Will probated: 1 Dec 1806 Wife: Susa Children: William, Sarh and Nancy.
