She was married to Benjamin Dix who was taken as a prisnor of was during the Civil War. ( So the story goes.) Mary was told that he had been killed and she remarried. ( I have not known to whom she was remarried.) When the war was over Ben came home and found that she had remarried. He then moved to Kansas and his oldest son went with him. ( David ) Could this be your Mary Magdeline Wright? Magdeline was my gg grandmother's middle name. On cencus records she is sometimes called Laney. Wow! If this is one and the same Mary, It will be the first break through sense I found out who my gg grandparents were! I will be anxious to hear from you. Thanks on any account for responding. Lois
