Although I mentioned in my previous posting, Abner Copeland was born June 15, 1790 NC., son of John and Judith (Rawson) Copeland, I Apologize for not elaborating further by saying this Copeland family moved to Clinton Co., OH., from Chatham Co., NC. about 1815. I just wasn't sure if Margaret and Abner had met and married in VA. by chance, or OH., where they eventually moved to. I have since found info of their marriage having taken place in Clinton Co., OH on April 10, 1817. Only moments ago, I received a reply from the RootsWeb {OHGREENE} Mailing List, re their marriage that was found in the Marriage Index: Selected Counties of OH 1789-1850, CD by Broderbund/Family Tree Maker's Family Archives. It lists Abner Copeland m Peggy Morgan, Clinton Co., OH 4/10/1817. I had heard she sometimes went by the name Peggy, but did not think it would be on the marriage record instead of her given name, Margaret. Unfortunately, no parents names were listed! All the info I have found of Margaret aka Peggy Morgan lists her date of birth on July 2or20, 1797 in Frederick Co., VA. I would be grateful if a birth record of her could be found, to continue her line of ancestry. Again, many thanks for the help you have already given me. Julia
