Early in century or late? An actual date is even better for getting help. If you know when someone was born, or died, or something to pinpoint a family to a specific place and time, you will get more help. Any names? There are often there are multiple, sometimes unrelated families, in the same county. If there are multiple people in the same location with the same name - spouse or children's names will help. For instance, in hte 1700s, depending on background, it was common to name firstborn son after the husband's father. I have a branch that has 5 sons, all naming their firstborn after their father - making 5 cousins with exactly the same name, and approximately the same age. In fact, the brothers named their sons after their brothers - so I actually have 25 men with the same 5 names! The way to distinguish them is to know the rest of the family. Any idea on location within the county? Depending on timeframe, it helps to get an actual location and records. If you have a clue, that can help. Often you can get this type of clue from census records, cemetery records, etc. Good luck.
