    1. [VAFREDER] BREW and SUBERLY SURNAMES ----- Also BRAHAN and BOWMAN married to SUBERLY females
    2. Kay W. Gavin
    3. Hello, I am new to this list and am trying to find ancestors named BREW and SUBERLY. Henry BREW and Catherine SUBERLY were married in Frederick Co., VA 18 Apr 1791. Henry BRAHAN and Mary SUBERLY were married in Frederick Co., VA 20 Aug 1797. Henry BOWMAN and Susannah SUBERLY were married in Frederick Co., VA 01 Aug 1790. Henry BREW and Catherine SUBERLY are my direct line and I am having trouble finding either of these names in this time period. I found a chancery court record dated 1799 from Frederick Co., VA concerning Henry BREW and Achillis BARNET. Henry BREW evidently is a miller and there is a dispute about the amount of flour and barrels for the flour that are owed. "Henry BREW/BRUE is the occupier of a merchant mill belonging to Lewis Mill (could be Naill?) on Opeckon in Co. of Frederick". Frederick EARHART is employed at the mill at this time. Henry BREW is on the 1820 census in Rockingham Co. I cannot find him on the 1830 or 1840 census. On the 1850 census, Catherine Suberly BREW is living with whom I believe is a son, Thomas BREW, also a miller, in Rockingham Co. Catherine Suberly BREW died in 1854 and is buried at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Singer's Glen, Rockingham Co., VA. I believe another son, Henry Brew, Jr., had a mill called "Brew's Mill" in Augusta Co., VA. Could anyone possibly tell me where Henry BREW was in 1799 in Frederick Co., VA from the chancery court description? Is anyone researching any of these families? Thanks very much for any information anyone can provide. Kay W. Gavin Minnesota
