Bondsman, William Bonifield **** "Frederick County Marriages by Vogt & Kethley p. 239 Wilson, James & Sarah Brown, 25 Dec 1783, min John Montgomery Wilson, James & Mary Henry (2nd entry spelled Hentry), 5 Nov 1784, min Alexander Balmain Wilson, James & Hannah Jamison, 27 Jan 1789, min Simon Haar Wilson, James & Elizabeth Rakestraw (2nd entry spelled Rakestrom, 3rd entry spelled Rakestrow), 2 Sept 1805, b. William Bonifield Wilson, James & Mary Thomas, 6 May 1804, min Wm Hill ********** "Some Old HOmes in Frederick COunty, Virginia" by Garland Quarles p. 116 "The Griffith House" "Location: On Abram's Creek east of Winchester off Route 659" Mentions house & land were conveyed to "James Kelso and James Wilson (F.D.B. 18 - Page 122)" (Frederick County Deed Book) It goes on to tell that Kelso & Wilson & another man imported "into the State 21 Indentured servantsin the year 1772.." Referenced FOB (Frederick Order Book) 1778-81, page 245. p. 117 "There si evidence that Kelso and Wilson perhaps built the first mill on Abram's Creek at this site..." "On October 29, 1791, Kelso and Wilson conveyed the property to Charles McGill, (FDB 24A-Page 120)..." I don't know if this is your James Wilson though, but may provide some clues for you.
