David Grapes (1770 - 1826) is the son of John Henry (Jacob) Grapes (Krebs) (1 Feb 1730 - 13 Aug 1794) and Sarah Fedele (1735 - 1791). David would have an older sister Catherine Grapes (1761 - 1840). Catherine was also known as "katy" and was married twice. Her first husband was George Price, and her second husband was Michael Printz. Catherine emigrated to Ohio with Michael and died in Muskingum County, Oh. Assuming that I have pieced it together correctly, the pedigree would be as follows: David, son of John Henry and Sarah Fedele. John Henry, son of Simon Krebs and Anna Elizabeth Yost. Simon Krebs, son of Michael Krebs and Margaret Barbara. Michael, son of Jeremias Krebs and Maria Eva. Michael was born in 1677 in Pappenheim, Mittelfranken, Mayern, Germany and died in 1745 in New Hanover, Philadelphia, Pa. This would mean that Michael was the one who immigrated to the US. I have not yet posted this to my family tree because I am still looking for more confirmation. If anyone has anything to add to this, or can confirm or disprove my theory, please let me know.
