Isaac's father was Isaac Newton Grapes, who went by Newton. Newton was my ggg-grandfather through one of his younger sons, John Thomas, so this is where I have more information. Isaac Newton (Newton) Grapes was b. 18 May 1816 d. 4 Apr 1878. Newton married Mary Ann Robinson b. 8 May 1824 d. 19 Jun 1888. Source: Historical Records of Old Frederick County and Hampshire County Virginia Wilmer L Kerns, PhD P. 182 Grapes, Newton, died on April 4, 1878, aged 61 years, 10 months, and 27 days. He was a son of David and Harriett Grapes. Source: Shanholtzer History and Allied Family Roots Kerns pg. 60 Mary b. 1825 and d. June 1888 m. Issac Newton Grapes son of John and Mariah (Bennett) Grapes. Her parents were Elizabeth (Shanholtzer) and Amos Robertson/Roberson/Robinson Note: Harriett's real name was Hannah. Hampshire I: Carlyle, M.E. & C: Grapes, Newton B/P: 1/46 Both Newton and Mary Ann are buried in Malick Cemetery in Hampshire County, WV.
